new boiler

Here is our new boiler, before tidying up and putting on any panelling we made do.

more produce

Finally the allotment is paying off (probably not economically, and probably not as a return for hours spent up there, but certainly emotionally). Grace made the jam - raspberry and also blackcurrant. The raspberries definitely paid for themselves. We estimated that we probably picked about £25 worth, and there are as many more still to pick, plus redcurrants if we get around to it.

Produce!

Just to prove that the allotment is not just a waste of time, here is evidence that we have actually begun to harvest things - courgette flowers, potatoes and raspberries.

Back room

Skipton

Here are some enticing (maybe) pictures to encourage people to come up to Skipton.

allotment

Here are a few photos of the allotment, with courgettes, beans, fennel, potatoes and the odd cabbage. As you can see I go for the random mixed up approach to certain extent. Whether that is laziness, or companion planting it's hard to say!

Big tree again

Here is a large old elm that we came across while visiting Roslyn Chapel last time we were with David. There were a couple of them tucked away at the back of a wood.
